El Cajon sits in an inland valley, and summer days get much hotter and drier than on the coast. Leather loses moisture fast in that heat: the finish dries, cracks start on the seat cushions and the tops of the arms, and color fades by the windows.
We repair cracked and faded leather in homes across El Cajon and the surrounding East County.
East County
Between repairs, a few habits make a big difference in El Cajon: keep leather furniture at least a couple of feet from heat vents and fireplaces, close blinds on the sunny side in the afternoon, and use a leather conditioner every few months so the hide does not dry out. When the damage is already there, here is what we fix most often in East County homes.

Fine cracks on the seats and tops of the arms filled, smoothed and recolored before they open into tears.

Patchy, faded color restored to an even finish across the whole piece.

Leather on the footrest and arms renewed, and stuck or noisy mechanisms fixed in the same visit.
Yes. We repair leather furniture on site in El Cajon homes — you don’t need to move or haul anything.
Repairs start at $150 in San Diego. The final price depends on the damage and how much work is needed. El Cajon is outside the city, so a travel fee may apply depending on distance; we include it in the quote. Text us photos for an exact price.
Yes. Cracks are cleaned, filled and re-grained, then the area is recolored and sealed so it blends in and flexes with the leather.
Keep it out of direct afternoon sun and condition it every 2–3 months in summer. Our leather care tips page has more.
Every repair comes with a 1-year warranty.

Alex did an outstanding job fixing a dye transfer stain on a leather car seat. His work was beautiful (it looks brand new), his price was fair, and he was really pleasant to work with. I'd recommend him without hesitation.Posted on Google![]()

Alexander did a great job fixing a small cut on our 1960 T-Bird back seat. The color and texture was better than our expectations! We finally had to tell Alex to stop as he is a true perfectionist! We also appreciated his honesty in telling us that our RV vinyl would be more practical to replace than repair. He could have repaired them, but advised us that the damage would continue do to poor quality of vinyl used by the manufacturer.+1Posted on Google![]()

Alex did an amazing job fixing the dashboard crack on my truck! You can’t even tell it was there. Great work, very reasonable on the price and a pleasant person to deal with. I will likely have him come back to refresh my bottom front seat bolsters.+4Posted on Google![]()

I had a vintage Chanel bag that needed a new top coat and Alexander and his staff provided amazing service, including home pick up and drop off. All throughout the process, Alexander was very responsive, and the bag came back beautiful. The price was incredibly reasonable, as well. I will definitely be a returning customer!
