I’m Alexander Evstafiev, the founder of Leather Repair Center. I started repairing leather in San Francisco, and as word of mouth grew, I brought the business to San Diego.
Since then I’ve repaired hundreds of sofas, recliners, chairs and car seats, and trained several technicians in the same methods. Most leather furniture is replaced long before it is worn out — the frame is solid and the hide is good; only the finish has cracked, faded or been scratched. That part we can renew, usually in one visit, for a fraction of the cost of new.
I’m also developing Balsamio, our own leather care line, built on what I’ve learned repairing furniture damaged by harsh cleaners. It’s still in development and not on sale yet.

A fully equipped technician arrives with everything needed for most repairs. Nothing to haul, no weeks without your sofa.
Color is blended in daylight against your own leather, and the grain and sheen are recreated so repairs blend in.
If something isn’t worth repairing — like peeling bonded or faux leather — we tell you before you book.
A firm price from your photos, usually the same day. Outside the city, any travel fee is included in the quote.
Most repairs are finished the same day, in your home.
Every repair is covered by a 1-year warranty.
Leather furniture is our focus. We also handle minor repairs on commercial, medical, car, boat and aircraft seating.
Stand back and photograph the entire sofa or chair in good daylight so we can see its size and overall color.
One close-up of each damaged spot. A coin or your finger next to it helps us judge the size.
A brand tag under the cushion or on the frame helps identify the leather. Send all three with the form below or by text.
Send a few photos and tell us what happened. We’ll reply with a firm price, usually the same day — no home visit needed to quote.

Alex did an outstanding job fixing a dye transfer stain on a leather car seat. His work was beautiful (it looks brand new), his price was fair, and he was really pleasant to work with. I'd recommend him without hesitation.Posted on Google![]()

Alexander did a great job fixing a small cut on our 1960 T-Bird back seat. The color and texture was better than our expectations! We finally had to tell Alex to stop as he is a true perfectionist! We also appreciated his honesty in telling us that our RV vinyl would be more practical to replace than repair. He could have repaired them, but advised us that the damage would continue do to poor quality of vinyl used by the manufacturer.+1Posted on Google![]()

Alex did an amazing job fixing the dashboard crack on my truck! You can’t even tell it was there. Great work, very reasonable on the price and a pleasant person to deal with. I will likely have him come back to refresh my bottom front seat bolsters.+4Posted on Google![]()

I had a vintage Chanel bag that needed a new top coat and Alexander and his staff provided amazing service, including home pick up and drop off. All throughout the process, Alexander was very responsive, and the bag came back beautiful. The price was incredibly reasonable, as well. I will definitely be a returning customer!
