La Mesa has a mix of older homes, mid-century houses and new builds — and furniture to match, from well-loved family sofas to original mid-century lounge chairs. Being a little inland, summers are warmer and drier than on the coast, so leather dries and fades faster without care.
We repair and recolor leather furniture across La Mesa, from the Village to Mount Helix.
La Mesa homes
La Mesa has plenty of furniture that was bought to last: mid-century lounge chairs, club chairs and sofas that have been in the family for years. That leather is usually still sound underneath. What wears out is the finish on top, which dries, cracks and fades, especially in the warmer, drier inland summers.

Cracked cushion leather, faded color and tired shock mounts on Eames-style lounge chairs, originals and replicas.

Worn arms, rubbed-through seat edges and darkened headrests renewed so the piece keeps its character without looking tired.

Sun-faded backs and cushions recolored to an even finish, matched to the original color or changed to a new one.
Yes. We repair leather furniture on site in La Mesa homes — you don’t need to move or haul anything.
Repairs start at $150 in San Diego. The final price depends on the damage and how much work is needed. La Mesa is outside the city, so a travel fee may apply depending on distance; we include it in the quote. Text us photos for an exact price.
Yes — failed shock mounts, loose arms, cushion leather and color, on originals and quality replicas.
Dry leather can be cleaned, conditioned and, if it has started to crack, repaired and refinished. Send photos and we’ll tell you what it needs.
Every repair comes with a 1-year warranty.

Alex did an outstanding job fixing a dye transfer stain on a leather car seat. His work was beautiful (it looks brand new), his price was fair, and he was really pleasant to work with. I'd recommend him without hesitation.Posted on Google![]()

Alexander did a great job fixing a small cut on our 1960 T-Bird back seat. The color and texture was better than our expectations! We finally had to tell Alex to stop as he is a true perfectionist! We also appreciated his honesty in telling us that our RV vinyl would be more practical to replace than repair. He could have repaired them, but advised us that the damage would continue do to poor quality of vinyl used by the manufacturer.+1Posted on Google![]()

Alex did an amazing job fixing the dashboard crack on my truck! You can’t even tell it was there. Great work, very reasonable on the price and a pleasant person to deal with. I will likely have him come back to refresh my bottom front seat bolsters.+4Posted on Google![]()

I had a vintage Chanel bag that needed a new top coat and Alexander and his staff provided amazing service, including home pick up and drop off. All throughout the process, Alexander was very responsive, and the bag came back beautiful. The price was incredibly reasonable, as well. I will definitely be a returning customer!
